Drew Lady Eagles vs Price Middle School was a high spirited, very competitive, and game motivator!  Price started out with a 5-0 lead the first inning.  The Lady Eagles tend to start a little slow and as always found a way to get their heads in the game.  The Lady Eagles held Price to  two additional runs.  Justice Edwards found her groove on the mound and stuck out two batters.  The defense stepped up and the bats came alive.  Batter became patient at the plate and the Lady Eagles scored 5 runs.  The score was too close not to play stronger defense.  A line drive was hit back up the middle and Justice quickly caught it for the first out of the rd inning.  The second out was made by Jillian with a tag on a steal to 3rd base.  The third out was also at third on a tag.  

The Lady Eagles were up to bat in the bottom of the 3rd with Kelsey Allen leading and taking a walk,  Taylor Sturdivant, Makayla Arnold,  Courtney Smith, Jillian Loux, Bailey Lawrene, and Kimoni Gray all got on base.  When Justice Edwards cam to the plate, the bases were loaded and she hit a hot shot to the outfield.  Jillian, Bailey, Kimoni and Justice scored!  Justice hit her first grand slam and her second int he park home run.  The team and the crowd went ballistic!  We now have a 10-7 lead.

Makayla Arnold has an extremely difficult responsibility as the catcher.  Makayla worked hard and very few pitches got pass her.  She made a major difference int he outcome of the game.  A runner stole from first to second, Makayla came up throwing and Bailey swiped the runner nice and clean.  There were several throws from home plate in attempts to get runners out.  

Top of the 4th inning, the Lady Eagles were pumped!  Justice Edwards had two strikeouts and one batter got on by way of an error.  Price was couldn't score!

Drew was back up at bat with Autumn Green, Kelse Allen, Taylor Sturdivant, Makayla Arnold, Abigale Boren and Jillian Loux all got on base.  W scored and additional 3 runs!

Price first three batter got on base and the bases were loaded.  Justice Edwards caught a line drive, getting the batter out, made the throw to first because the runner left too soon, getting the runner on first out., then Taylor Sturdivant threw the ball back to Jutice.  Justice realize the runner that was on 3rd did not tag the base and had run home and threw the ball to third getting her out.  We did the unthinkable, we turned a triple play!  

We defeated Price 13-7!  What an amazing game!
